About My Practice
My theoretical framework is multifaceted and continually evolving, however I primarily work from an object relation, psychodynamic and family system perspective.  What this simply means is that I believe our early relationships have a profound affect on who we are today and has shaped our worldview; the way we think, feel, and act.  I also make use of cognitive, behavioral, and solution-focused interventions when appropriate.

I view our work together as a collaborative effort to reflect on your life story and your current situation to integrate your internal experiences and feelings with your external realities and relationships so that you are able to find a balance and move toward the life you want to live.

Whether we are working together in ongoing, long-term therapy to understand and change unhealthy or disruptive life-long patterns, or working briefly with you on a situational issue, my approach to our work together is based in openness and compassion. I am dedicated to understanding the issues that brought you to therapy within the context of who you are and your circumstance.
